CCP has been playing a little dirty lately. They have been dropping in backdoor nerfs that no one knows about. or buffs that are set up to nerf other types of gameplay.
Perfect example is the recent explosive AV buff which has nerfed armor vehicles. No one knew about it coming until one day a unlucky HAV player finds out that swarms are hitting alot harder and the ability to survive is impossible. Another example is dropships have become so slow and fly like they are a 20 ton aircraft. They use to be nimble, quick, and fun. But now it is impossible to outrun swarms unless you equipped a afterburner and even then they are still catching you sometimes.
CCP is destroying their game with these behind the scenes nerfs or buffs to counter other types of game play. They talk about how they want to be involved with the community but they seem to be getting less and less involved. They are choosing there own council and we do not even know if all types of game play will be represented here.
Enough is enough CCP you are slowly destroying your vet and hardcore community that held high expectations for this game. You seem to lack the ability to work with the community well and only listen to inexperienced players problems and fail to get experienced players feedback on the true issues. Then jump on trying to fix things with out getting better community input and let us suffer the back draft of having our game play seriously hurt by your poorly planned out fixes.
Vehicles game play has been slowly getting destroyed and beat out of dust completely because. Why run a tank when the enemy team can all equip AV grenades in a corp battle and effectively deal with any anti-infantr[y hav comes close 8 packed AV grenades will destroy any HAV out there.
You keep thinking the problem with vehicles is that they are to strong against AV when in reality there are fewer dedicated AV people out their then HAV players. Why is that because you fail to listen to your vet players. I have posted many times how AV needs a buff to there point potential and isk rewards for their kills. From there, dedicated AVers will come out because their is a viable career to lvl off from and gain SP.
I will state I have used vehicles and AV as examples because that is where majority of my game play revolves around.
Enough of this CCP and we as a community need to speak out against these back door additions. CCP needs to get back to working with us as a community on balancing instead of just doing and letting people find out the hard way. |

This thread is about the lack of communication with CCPs community. And yes CCP owns the game owns the rights to everything. But I am Daddy and my money given to CCP helps him pay college bills aka staff and resources for the game. I am currently not going to spend another dime on Dust 514. Why because my son did not take the time to report back to me give me info on what my money is being used for.
So in other words communication is very important. It is what helps this game run smoother. CCP biggest draw is suppose to be their community involvement. Not the lack of it that they currently have. So I hold them to high expectation.
For those saying I am whining about HAVs and Dropship nerfs. No this thread is not about that. I just used my personal experiences as examples. What happens when you favorite repair tool gets deemed OP by a bunch of people and all of a sudden one day your out there being a logi bro and you throw out half the rep u use too. or if your assault riffle all of a sudden has 2 times the kick.
It is not just about my vehicles. It is the community as a whole. |

WC hasnt been released has it? Noc assumes that WC is about game play issues. Doesn't understand that WC is more like this
I have a feeling the WC is going to be build out of to many players like you Saber. What does that mean. To much community stunt playing instead of understanding of the deeper mechanics of each individual area of the game. Not that what you bring is not good. It is just that too much concentration in that area is going to mean WC agreeing on everything and not touching deeper into other game play they do not fully understand.

This is the ignorance we need on the forums.
So your telling a supporter who was one of the first ones to talk about fixing of the heavy suits so the proto suits are better suited AKA more low slots on armor and a extra high on shield, that your enjoying my tears. I will enjoy your tears even more when your HMG gets nerfed and they never fix the true problems of the heavy because your to ignorant and laugh at everyone else. I love stupidity on the forum.

Kain Spero wrote:My opinion on this is that part of testing is to introduce changes into the system without the knowledge of parties involved. If we know a change is coming or are told when it's dropped you will modify your behavior and skew the data that is trying to be collected regarding the change.
Part of testing is to limit variables and player behavior and how it changes results is a huge one. Awesome point Kain, but are people not going to make these adjustments anyways once you start feel the difference ingame. How is this not telling us stopping us from countering or switching up to try to handle there ninja buff or nerf? People like me are not stupid and notice the change in our gameplay quickly. And figure out what is wrong so we then adjust right away. and tell our friends. All this data collected during that time before the adjustments is all of a sudden null. Why because the game play of players has evovled and changed because they slowly realized it. Their for balancing needs in the game has changed. And means we did not know that we evolved alot slower making the data more off. Where if they come out right away players adjust quickly. They see the changes happen fast and can relize hey wow that is not what we wanted sooner then later.
When you are balancing game play being secretive about it never equals better balancing. All your doing is hurting your data collecting for a few months because people take that long to adjust on a ninja nerf or buff. |

To help clear this up I can confirm that we have not made a stealth buff to AV. Nor have we touched the base dropship handling.
The overdrives and afterburners were updated when we launched the aerial assault pack. That one slipped through the cracks and we forgot to mention it. Sometimes it happens, sorry about that. Generally speaking though we will always let you know when we mess with things :-)
CCP Wolfman
Why even nerf the after burners? Drop ships now have no defense against, we'll.... anything now. Basically with Dropships you have to get within 50m to actually kill anyone. Closer to actually be effective 30m about. sit still because on the move the blasters become inaccurate. Then once swarms income and forge starts hitting you it takes 20+ seconds to gain up enough speed even with afterburner to outrun swarms. Alot of it deals with the poor mechanics they Have now. They need precursor mechanics for the dropships. they have beat dropships down to nothing. |
